After Wendy Williams’ spokesperson announced she won’t be taping new episodes for the remainder of the week, the talk show host herself has given an update on her health.

Williams had been experiencing flu-like symptoms and called out sick from work beginning Wednesday, Feb. 14. Re-runs of “The Wendy Williams Show” will air through Friday instead.

“It’s not the flu yet, but I feel flu-ish,” she says in a Wednesday Instagram video. “It’s not a five on a scale from one to five. It’s not even a four. I do go to the doctor today to find out exactly what it is. But I feel awful. I had to be talked out of not going to work today and taking off a few days to get myself together.”

Williams explained she never takes a sick leave and has never missed a taping since her daytime talk show began in 2008. And in the radio days, the self-described thoroughbred said taking sick leave was unheard of.

Fans eagerly showered her with wishes for a speedy recovery.

“Get well soon Miss Wendy!” one person commented. “We love you here in South Africa 💕💕💕💕💕.”

“Hope you feel better soon!” wrote another.

“[You’re] always in my prayers Auntie Wendy, 🙏🙏❤❤” someone else said.

This follows what some saw as a close call for Williams on Tuesday’s show where she seemed to nearly fall.
