As the sexual assault scandal shows no signs of slowing down, rapper T.I. has given his take on how men are handling it. The MC reposted a clip of Rowan Atkinson’s character Mr. Bean denying a hug with a woman and giving her a handshake instead, pushing her back with his hand over her face.

“Hello, ma’am nice to meet you…. from over there tho dear, good day,” T.I. wrote with a winking emoji and the hashtag, #ToThineOwnHandsBeKept.

The humorous post speaks to the way men should greet women.

As such, support for T.I.’s clip has followed.

But there’s more to it than just humor. T.I.’s post speaks to the current accused of sexual harassment and rape.

Former PBS host Tavis Smiley said in a Thursday, Dec. 14 Facebook video that he “never groped, coerced, or exposed myself inappropriately to any workplace colleague in my entire broadcast career.” He doubled down on that stance during a Monday stop on “Good Morning America.”

And DefJam Recordings co-founder Russell Simmons, who launched the #NotMe campaign, vowed to confirm he did not rape any of his accusers. He took a polygraph test to prove it in the case of model Keri Claussen Khalighi.
