On the July 12 edition of “The View,” Raven-Symone advocates for an economic boycott in the wake of the Alton Sterling and Philando Castile shootings by police earlier this month.
In the clip, the host says that Black people should put their money in businesses that support them and speak up for Black people. Similar to corporations who pulled their money out of North Carolina in response to the bathroom bill.
“By 2017, there is going to be $1.3 trillion in buying power in the Black community alone,” she explains. “If you took that away from certain people, don’t you think they would make change?”
my sentiments exactly!! I've been arguing that point for years because historically it has been revealed that White Supremacy grip gets loosened when the Black Dollar has been withheld…As an alternative we must educate and the execute our agenda through economic means
