A new report from the rehab facility that Chris Brown has been staying in said that the singer is suffering from bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
“Mr. Brown became aggressive and acted out physically due to his untreated mental health disorder, severe sleep deprivation, inappropriate self-medicating and untreated PTSD,” the report said.
Because of the report of mental illnesses being involved a Los Angeles judge has decided that Brown needs to remain in the facility’s care an additional two months.
“Mr. Brown will also require close supervision by his treating physician in order to ensure his bipolar mental health condition remains stable,” the facility’s report added. “It is not uncommon for patients with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Bipolar II to use substances to self-medicate their biomedical mood swings and trauma triggers.”
Despite his anger-filled rants being the highlight of his history with the media, the rehab facility painted a very different portrait of the R&B star.
The facility said that Brown is dedicated to his community service and wakes up around 5 in the morning in order to fulfill his charitable obligations.
“We have worked with many privileged young people over the past decade and our clinical team agrees that Mr. Brown’s attitude has been beyond exemplary in regard to his community service responsibilities,” the report said.
It also said that Brown “appreciates what he has learned in the rehabilitation facility, as it has allowed him to change his life for the better.”
The star took to Twitter to thank God and his fans for supporting him.
Meanwhile, it seems like Rihanna may actually be back in his life.
The “Fine China” singer’s life seemed to begin its downward spiral after he assaulted Rihanna in 2009, but he may still be trying to give the relationship another try.
He reportedly broke up with his on-again, off-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran and rumor has it that he’s been texting Rihanna again.
It isn’t clear how her rumored-to-be lover, Drake, feels about the possibility of RiRi rekindling her relationship with Brown.
The tattoo-covered star has unfollowed Tran on Twitter while she has posted what seems to be a bit of a subliminal message on her Instagram.
Tran shared a photo of herself holding a small note that reads, “Treat Your Girl Right.”
One thing is for sure, if Brown is truly suffering from these types of mental illnesses the last thing he needs is to be tossed right back in the middle of a bitter love triangle.
