This year’s Superbowl may be a little bigger than usual because it’s taking place in New York City, and Jay Z will make sure that the event in his hometown will be one to remember. Hov will be headlining the annual DirecTV’s Super Saturday Night Party.
According to rap-up.com:
“On Feb. 1, Hov will take the stage at the invite-only event at DirecTV’s SuperFan Stadium at New York’s Hudson River Park Pier 40, reports Billboard. The party will be cohosted by Mark Cuban’s AXS TV and Eli Manning.
“During last year’s event in New Orleans, Justin Timberlake brought out Jay Z to perform “Suit & Tie” for the first time. Previous Super Saturday Night headliners have included Usher and Katy Perry.”
Jay Z might not be the only A-lister performing on Super Saturday night. Rumors have it that Jay’s wife Beyonce might make a guest appearance.
As reported by billboard.com:
“Sources tell Billboard that Beyonce is expected to join her husband on stage for at least one song at the DirecTV party, as hosts of other Super Bowl parties were told both artists were already exclusively booked by another event that week. ‘Obviously, we would love to have her, but no comment on the rumors,’ said a DirecTV spokeswoman.”
Jay Z’s performance will be part of what is sure to be a star-studded weekend that will include performances by Drake, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and a slew of other artists.
