Kanye West Charged With Battery, Attempted Grand Theft in Photographer Attack

Rapper Kanye West is still recovering from his drunken outburst during label mate Pusha T’s album release party earlier this week, but he has another massive headache to contend with.

Last month West was sued by photographer Daniel Ramos, who claimed the rapper left him in crutches after an altercation at Los Angeles airport on July 19.

Friday, Los Angeles city attorney spokesperson Frank Mateljan revealed the “Power” rapper will also face charges.

According to the UK Guardian:

“Kanye West has been charged with battery and attempted grand theft for an alleged altercation with a photographer at Los Angeles International Airport, a city official said on Friday. Mateljan said that Grammy-winning West, 36, also attempted to take equipment from the photographer. Each misdemeanor charge carries a maximum penalty of six months in prison. West is scheduled to be arraigned in Los Angeles on 10 October.”
