Kelly Rowland Shows Off Toned Bikini Body on Shape Magazine Cover

Kelly Rowland slipped into a bikini to pose for the cover of Shape Magazine’s October issue, flaunting her toned tummy and famous legs. Meanwhile, Kelly made her debut as a judge on “X-Factor U.S.A” where she joined the female-dominated panel in hopes that new judges will be able to rescue the show from its usual poor ratings.

With fall right around the corner, it’s about that time where we all start slacking on our workout routines and daydreaming about holiday meals. But Kelly  provided some serious workout inspiration as she stripped down for Shape Magazine.

The former Destiny’s Child singer looked incredible in an army fatigue crop top and black bikini bottoms.

While she certainly looked flawless on the cover of the magazine, she admitted that she is just like everyone else when it comes to her love of food and fast weight gain when she doesn’t eat right.

“I love food so much, all I have to do is look at it and I gain five pounds,” she said.

She also revealed that people need to step away from strange diet plans and alleged weight-loss secrets and just return to the basics – eating healthy and working out.

The “Dirty Laundry” singer said she works out almost every day with the help of celebrity trainer Jeanette Jenkins.

“I work out five or six times a week,” she said. “I feel better, look better, sleep better.”

Of course, not everyone has the time to work out six days a week and that’s when a healthy diet comes into play.

Kelly said that it’s all about controlling cravings and finding healthier substitutions for your favorite unhealthy foods.

“When I want a steak, I grill some Portobello mushrooms and put a little goat cheese on them,” she said. “And I’ve learned to satisfy my sweet tooth by replacing Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups with half a tablespoon of almond butter on half a banana.”

Making small changes like these is the difference between a temporary diet and a permanent change in your lifestyle that can lead to a body like Kelly’s if you stay dedicated long enough.

When Kelly made her  appearance on the X-Factor U.S.A on Wednesday night, it was clear she had great chemistry with Simon Cowell.

In the midst of all the scandals surrounding Simon, his fun and playful banter with Kelly on last night’s show was almost enough to make you forget about it (for at least a few minutes anyway).

Kelly’s position on the judge’s panel has her right beside Simon and after seeing the two interact, it was clear why producers made that decision. The duo was the first organic chemistry the show has had since it launched its first panel that included Britney Spears and L.A. Reid.

“To be honest, we’re really just having fun,” Kelly said during a press conference on Tuesday. “We had fun together and it’s not about the judges. This is about talent, and I think that’s why I love the show so much, it’s because we’re all focused on talent and finding great talent as well.”

Speaking of talent, Kelly also claimed that she believed all of the categories on the show were incredibly strong this time around.

“The truth is, all of the categories are super strong,” she continued. “It’s going to be an incredible year. I think America will actually be surprised with how much talent we have in each group.”

As for her feedback for the contestants, she made it clear that she won’t be holding back but she won’t be as rude as Simon.

Kelly said that she has learned the most from the harsh constructive criticisms that she’s encountered throughout her career and she wants to extend that type of helpful advice to the show’s contestants.
