Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian’s marriage is in turmoil, seemingly because of the alleged cheating and other marital issues stemming from Odom’s hardcore drug abuse.
According to TMZ, the NBA star’s use of dangerous recreational drugs has begun tearing his relationship with Khloe and the rest of the Kardashian clan apart.
Several sources told the celebrity gossip site that Odom has been facing this problem for two years now and Khloe has finally had enough of it.
The youngest Kardashian sister pressured Odom into going to rehab last August, but he was so resistant she had to hire a private investigator just to make sure Odom actually stayed at the rehab center.
Other sources say that the private investigator also watched Odom around the clock to make sure he wasn’t relapsing.
Despite Khloe’s best efforts to keep the NBA star in rehab, he left after a few weeks and refused to return.
While he did manage to stay clean for some time after ditching rehab, his addiction was far from over. After the basketball season ended, Odom went right back to using the drugs that landed him in rehab in the first place.
Unfortunately, they aren’t the only problem in the marriage. Khloe is also convinced that the rumors about Lamar’s cheating are absolutely true and she finally put him out.
The 33-year-old New York native was seen packing up his stuff on Wednesday morning as his friend loaded the suitcases into his car.
It’s obvious that their relationship is in danger, but their marriage hasn’t been threatened just yet. While Khloe may have put Odom out the house, neither she nor her husband have contacted divorce lawyers.
One source claimed that Khloe is much more concerned about helping her husband than calling off the marriage, although she still isn’t willing to put up with all the nonsense.
The Kardashian family also reportedly staged an intervention for Odom, but sources say he wasn’t trying to hear any of it.
Allegations of Odom cheating on Khloe have been going on for quite some time. Last December reports surfaced that the NBA baller was out partying with other, more petite women.
Khloe may have been denying the allegations then, but it seems as if the drug issue has certainly changed her mind about his innocence.
It’s not clear how long Khloe plans on being separated from Odom without moving forward with a divorce.
