Behind The Scenes: Kendrick Lamar ‘On The Road’ Documentary

In preparation of the upcoming Made In America festival, Jay Z’s Life + Times YouTube channel has released a documentary featuring Kendrick Lamar and his TDE crew. The video highlights performances and interviews from Kendrick and the entire ‘Black Hippy’ crew, including SchoolBoy Q, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock on the road. According to vibe.com:

“Life + Times Says: ‘By now, you have seen the trailer for the documentary that I produced for Jay Z’s Life + Times on Top Dawg Entertainment. Today, after a month of traveling, interviewing and hanging out with ScHoolBoy Q, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock and Ab Soul, I am proud to present the full length documentary to you.

“Made In America: TDE” follows the crew during their last leg of the Black Hippy tour, through the BET Awards weekend and then catches up with Ab Soul, Jay Rock and ScHoolBoy Q in different parts of Los Angeles (we spoke with Kendrick Lamar in Arizona). The crew gives us insight on how they all joined TDE, how life has changed since the release of good kid, m.A.A.d. city and their outlook on the future as ScHoolBoy Q prepares to release Oxymoron.”

Kendrick, who has been all the talk of the rap industry recently after his infamous verse on Big Sean’s ‘Control, is one of many superstar acts that will be at this year’s Made In America music festival.
