Beyonce should teach a university-level course on the art of improvisation. Easily regarded as not only one of the top singers of this generation, but also a top-notch performer, the Queen Bey recently showed fans and haters alike why she’s received that honor.
A video has gone viral of the former Destiny’s Child star performing her hit “Halo” during a Montreal stop of the “Mrs. Carter” world tour. The video shows Beyonce’s weave—she later shares the name of the weave on Instagram—getting tangled in an electric wind fan as she sat on the edge of the stage performing for an eager crowd. Her security detail worked furiously to remove the singer’s hair from the fan, Bey even yanks at her weave a few times.
As the video shows, clearly Beyonce never missed a beat!
Following the performance, the 31-year old performer made light of the incident on Instagram with a handwritten note that remixed the lyrics to “Halo.”
“Gravity can’t begiiiiiiin/to pull me out of the fan again/I felt my hair was yankiiiiiiiin/From the fan that’s always hatiiiiiiiin,” she wrote. “I got snatched… goodnight all.”
Before heading up to Canada, Beyonce and husband Jay-Z joined the mother of slain teenager ,Trayvon Martin, for a rally in New York City. Martin’s death and the subsequent acquittal of his killer, George Zimmerman, has prompted a barrage of support from celebrities and numerous rallies around the nation. Beyonce and Jay, who were adamant about keeping their appearance focused on the cause, shared a photo of a New York Daily News cover story on Instagram.
