Chris Brown’s Dad: ‘He Shouldn’t Be With Rihanna’

Chris Brown‘s resurrected relationship with Rihanna appears to be going from strength to strength, but a familiar face leads a lengthy queue of people opposed to their shock romance – his very own father.

The 23-year-old singer reunited with RiRi in 2012 – just three short years after he was arrested and charged with beating her black and blue on the eve of the 51st Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

While Rihanna’s decision to rekindle her fractious romance with Chris surprised many, their biggest critic appears to be outspoken dad Clinton Brown – who claims the Bajan star is the wrong type of woman for his son.

“I really didn’t want him and Rihanna back together – because of the scrutiny and because they are two individuals who are whimsical. You don’t have the balance,” he told The Sun. “You need to have balance in a relationship. You need to have someone who is spontaneous but you also need someone who is grounded and logical.”

Clinton added that Rihanna – who was spotted enjoying a night out with pals over the weekend – may have played a more significant part in their well-publicised fracas than has previously been reported.

“One has to assume because they are back together it wasn’t a one-sided,” he said. “You just have to imagine that it was a circumstance in which they both had a disagreement.”
