Gucci Mane Dozed Off Filming 'Spring Breakers' Sex Scene!

You’d think Gucci Mane, born Radric Davis, would be very excited his major feature film debut included a steamy sex scene with a hot chick. Nope! While filming a sex scene for Spring Breakers, the “Trap House” rapper found it so boring he fell asleep!

I guess being around half naked chicks all the time “twerking” for a music video desensitizes you to this sort of thing. Although the actress sharing the sex scene with him could reportedly balance 5 cans of beer on her derrière — she still failed to keep the 32-year-old rapper’s attention.

Apparently Gucci Mane had been so stoned on the Spring Breakers set; he couldn’t “stay up” for the task, even though his partner was riding him for like 45 minutes.

Director Harmony Korine dished:

In his entourage, everybody smokes weed from the beginning of the day to the end. So we’re inside this house in St. Petersburg, and the f*cking weed smoke was so insane and Gucci was basically catatonic. I was like, ‘Gucci, you’ve got to have sex with this chick now!’ He wanted her to ride him so he wouldn’t have to do any physical labor. So we’re shooting the sequence, and as he is getting f*cked, I start to hear snores. He had literally passed out! And she was riding his d*ck the whole time. I’d never in my life filmed a sex scene where the dude was sleeping. At the end, he woke up and was like, ‘I feel real nice. I feel like Mozart’s on my d*ck.’ And that was it, and he went back to sleep.

Now, no one expected Gucci to deliver an award winning performance for this type-cast role, but he could have been more professional than this.

Still independent.

We hope this story was worth your time. For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed Black-owned and independently run. We didn't get here by waiting on ad budgets that were never built to prioritize us. Our readers did that.

Corporate support for Black media has always been thin. Outlets like ours get roughly 1% of the $170 billion spent on U.S. advertising each year, and that margin is shrinking further as advertisers walk back the DEI-linked commitments they made in 2020. That's the backdrop. It's not why we're asking.

The wider picture isn't any steadier. Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under, it's rarely the ones built to center a Black perspective from the ground up that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
