Trailer and Posters Released for 'The Incredible Burt Wonderstone'

Warner Bros. has unveiled four character posters and the first trailer for The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, which looks kind of like The Prestige, except set in the modern day, a comedy, and probably not nearly as contemplative. The movie follows the duel between Steve Carrell and Steve Buscemi’s old-school, Siegfriend and Roy-ish Las Vegas magicians and Jim Carrey’s new-school, Criss Angel-type performance artist. It’s complicated by the fact that Carrell and Buscemi’s characters, Burt Wonderstone and Anton Marvelton, once the best of friends, now hate each other. Alan Arkin is also present, as a retired magician whom Wonderstone once admired. Also Olivia Wilde is in it as… actually, the trailer doesn’t specify her role. She’s the female, I guess.

The trailer is… alright. The only thing to make me laugh was the reveal of how Arkin’s dove trick works. But I’d like a dueling Las Vegas magicians movie to turn out alright, because that’s a good concept.

Check out the trailer and the four character posters below. The Incredible Burt Wonderstoncomes out March 15th, 2013.
