Now that the singer Ashanti’s music career has dried up, she has dove back into the acting pool to get wet again. For the past few years, the R&B star has been auditioning for numerous acting roles and now she finally lucked up. Ashanti has recently booked a part on Lifetime’s Army Wives, as a series regular.

Latasha is described as a survivor with no self-pity who is determined to wrench all the joy out of life that she can. She’s a sexy, fun woman who knows how to keep a husband — and keep him in line.”
