Recent reports from behind the scenes at Fox’s The X Factor reveal tension between host Khloe Kardashian and judges Britney Spears and Demi Lovato. Meanwhile another Kardashian, Kourtney is battling rumors of an engagement to longtime beau Scott Disick.
Life and Style points to an event at the SLS Hotel in Los Angeles to celebrate the top 12 contestants. The source noticed minimal interaction between Kardashian, 28, Spears, 30, and Lovato, 20. Reportedly, Kardashian left after five minutes and Lovato and Spears did not say a word to each other.
“She won’t talk to either of them,” claims the Life and Style source, “Britney thinks she’s a much bigger star than Khloe or Demi.”
Insiders suggest Spears is miffed that Kardashian has attracted a lot of press attention. Spears also travels with a large and protective entourage, making her difficult to approach on set.
However, reports also reveal Kardashian and Lovato have started to bond. Lovato tries to tune out the on-set politics to focus on her contestants, while Kardashian has served as a mother hen of sorts for all of the show’s competitors. Both have demonstrated they are not afraid to trade on-air jabs with fiery-tongued judge and producer Simon Cowell.
In other Kardashian news, Khloe’s elder sister Kourtney is also attracting some attention, squashing yet another round of engagement rumors.
Reports started circulating earlier this week that Kardashian is engaged to longtime boyfriend Scott Disick, father to her children, Mason (3) and Penelope (4 months). The pair, along with Kardashian ringleader Kim, have been in Miami shooting the latest installment of Kourtney and Kim Take Miami.
Kardashian and Disick have been spotted looking extra affectionate in Miami and recently took a getaway vacation to Paris.
Disick’s aunt Laurie Disick reportedly told the Star tabloid, “We’re all so thrilled they’ve finally decided to get engaged. We’re all so fond of Kourtney, and we wish them a long, happy marriage.”
A Kardashian family source reports engagement rumors are false. Kourtney’s younger sibling and model Kylie Jenner, 15, recently told E! News: “They call each other husband and wife. Who cares? It’s a piece of paper.”
