Venus, Serena Williams’ Dad Becomes New Father at 70

Richard Williams Wife Gives BirthVenus and Serena Williams’ 70-year-old father has made the tennis stars big sisters to a bouncing baby boy.

Nobody was expecting this type of news from the Williams family and many tabloids actually speculated that the tennis sisters’ father had separated from his young wife.

When Richard Williams was seen at the US Open in August without his significant other, the last idea to cross anyone’s mind was that the elderly father’s wife had just become a new mother.

Neither of the Olympians said anything about the new addition to the family, but a close friend of Richard’s spilled the beans to Gossip Extra.

“That’s not what happened at all,” the anonymous source said in reference to the break up rumors. “She had a baby the first week of the Open.”

The tennis-coaching pop divorced from Venus and Serena’s mother Oracene back in 2002 after she was checked into the hospital with broken ribs which were rumored to be a result of domestic violence. Police did investigate the matter but no charges were pressed.

Seven years later, new mommy Lakeisha moved in with Oracene’s ex and they were married less than two years later.

Richard Williams has Baby with young Lakeisha Venus and Serena’s father hasn’t commented on becoming a new father, especially at such a late age, but it must be a bit awkward for the tennis champs to have a step mom that’s only a few years older than they are.

As the age old love story of Hollywood goes, the ladies’ father left their mother Oracene, 60, only to reconnect with a substantially and inappropriately younger woman, 33.

While pregnancy kept the Williams’ step mother away from the US Open, a bad bug is keeping tennis star Serena from the China Open.

Serena has just withdrawn from the tournament due to the flu, making this the second consecutive year she won’t be attending the tournament.

“This is regrettable news and we hope Serena Williams will get well soon,” the tournament’s official posted on their blog Thursday.

The 31-year-old Williams sister confirmed her illness when she posted a quick tweet saying, “Flu no fun.”

Last year she had to miss out on the tournament due to an injury.

Of course, she might not miss the potential victory she could have had considering she has already been dominating the tennis world throughout this year.

The younger of the tennis doubles partners has already grabbed the title for US Open, two Olympic gold medals in London, and Wimbledon this year alone.

As Serena embarks on her road to recovery, it wouldn’t be too surprising to see her French tennis coach bringing her soup and medicine.

Although the US Open champion denies any and all rumors that she dating her handsome tennis coach, they surely act as if they are romantically involved.

Earlier this week, Patrick Mouratoglou was even photographed carrying his tennis student’s shopping bags while they strolled through France.

Photos of the two reveal Mouratoglou holding Serena close, and even doing a bit of whispering in her ear.

Unless he’s letting her in on the latest tennis secrets, the pair definitely seems to have some sort of intimate relationship no matter how much the athletic beauty denies it.
