Snow White and The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders will have to hunt for a new job if his wife has her way.
According to a New York Post report, Liberty Sanders has shut down any possibility of the philandering director helming the Snow White and The Huntsman sequel. RadarOnline reported Liberty made it clear she was willing to work things out, but her husband will never work with Kristen Stewart again if he wants to save their marriage.
Sanders and Stewart created a media storm after admitting they were involved in an extra-marital affair following the filming of the Snow White movie.
Stewart made a public and emotional apology saying, “This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry,” Kristen said.
Given Snow White was Sanders directorial debut, he’s likely very disappointed his cheating ways may have cost him an opportunity to build on his initial success. Sanders is not under contract with Universal for the second installment so it is rather easy for either side to detach him from the sequel.
However a report by THR says Universal is willing to re-team Stewart and Sanders for Snow White and The Huntsman 2. The studio believes they can still turn a profit on the franchise despite the scandal surrounding the star and director.
