UPDATE-‘Basketball Wives‘ reached an epic low when Jennifer Williams was slapped across the face by her former friend and Evelyn Lozada’s assistant Nia Crooks at the Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach. After the incident, Jennifer Williams filed a police report and later a civil lawsuit against Nia. The police report was filed with Broward County where the state attorney’s office proceeded to file a misdemeanor battery charge against Jenn’s attacker.
According to the Sun Sentinel, a hearing date on the case was set on June 28th. Nia faces up to one year in jail if found guilty.
While Nia’s future is in jeopardy Jennifer is focusing on the positive tweeting this bit of advice to her followers,
“It’s funny when people try and dim your light, God makes it shine even brighter! Never doubt the star in you!”
