Beyonce Knowles is prepping for her much-anticipated sold out shows that are set to take place this Memorial Day weekend in Atlantic City. Just four months after giving birth to Blue Ivy Carter, the mother-of-one has been rehearsing for the show that will run from Friday to Monday.
The 5,500 seat venue has been sold with a ticket price from $95 to $495, but according to the New York Daily News some fans have paid upwards of $1700 to see the post-Blue mother perform. Initially Jay Z’s wife was only set to perform twice in Ovation Hall at the 2.4 billion newly built Revel Entertainment Complex, but emphatic fans encouraged two more days.
Beyonce last live performance was a special run of shows at Roseland last August for her “Beyonce Live At Roseland: Elements of 4.”
The “Countdown” singer is also reviewing material for multiple follow-ups to her last CD, 2011’s “4.”
“The conversations about her next album just started,” music producer Ryan Tedder said. “There are two projects happening.”
Besides her fifth album, Beyoncé has been rumored to work with actor Clint Eastwood’s new movie which will be the third remake of “A Star Is Born,” accounting for Bey’s other CD.
The “Love On Top” singer’s performance will likely have the usual thrills— multiple costume changes, elaborate sets and a full kick line of dancers, as well as plenty of video enhancement.
