Rihanna went ultra girly glam in a fuchsia hi-lo, strapless frock and a head blanketed with curls full of body as she attended the “prestigious” gala where she was recognized as one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People at New York’s Lincoln Center on Tuesday.
“You read the Time 100 List every year and to be a part of that list it, it’s such an incredible feeling,” the 24-year-old said.
Though the Barbados bloom is part of a bevy of high end campaigns, performs at top notch events, and collaborates with one-name known artists, the “We Found Love” singer was in awe about making the list.
“I was in shock, really, because it’s a very prestigious list and to be recognized by Time, that’s something that I’ll always remember for the rest of my life,” Rihanna told Access Hollywood. “That’s something that you work toward, you know, you don’t even think about it ‘cause you don’t think it can ever happen.
Besides the actual honor, RiRi was taken aback by her mom’s, Monica Braithwaite, surprise arrival at the gala for support—and her off-kilter attempt at making light of once-rumored fling Ashton Kutcher.
“Well…. 2nt consisted of us singing Bob Marley, drinkin Vintage Scotch, and my mom thinkin a joke abt Kutcher was appropriate.!” RiRi, 24, tweeted during in the evening.
Rumors began swirling last month that the performer and the “Two And A Half Men” actor were involved in some sort of tryst after Rihanna was photographed leaving Kutcher’s home after a four-hour visit.
Oddly enough, PopularCritc, just got wind that Kutcher was this month linked to actress Mila Kunis .
However, Rihanna didn’t hold her Mom’s quip against her as she tweeted a picture of the them at the ceremony.
