Bethenny Frankel, reality star turned savvy entrepreneur, was reluctantly forced to impart Monday on the “Today” show that she and husband, Jason Hoppy, suffered a miscarriage.
The former “Real Housewives of New York” star was making her media rounds to promote the third season of “Bethenny Ever After” when asked if she and Jason planned on expanding their family.
Obviously uncomfortable, she answered with tear-filled eyes, “I’m 41…It’s a very personal question that I get asked a lot. We were pregnant with a second baby, and at eight weeks I miscarried, and that was a very emotional experience. It had a lot of different things that came with it.”
Though the miscarriage happened recently, the “Skinny Girls” author disclosed the private pregnancy matter will not be thrashed out on the new season.
Bethenny Frankel Divorce Rumors Sparked By Reality Show
Frankel, who has a near two-year-old daughter, Bryn, with husband Jason, continued on with her thoughts about the possibility of trying for another little one.
“It’s not really my option, and the window’s closing, and it’s something that I’m dealing with…I’m not really thinking about it. I don’t know what my options are. I do have an incredible daughter. I feel like she’s perfect,” Frankel said. “Thinking about women who can’t have their own baby, even the first baby, I’m really lucky.”
Frankel also appeared on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” Monday night, where she discussed her upcoming daytime talk show, “Bethenny,” which will air on Fox stations beginning June 11.
“Instead of watching my marriage, my sex life, my conversations about money, I want to involve you,” the mini-mogul said. “It’s a girlfriends show, but it’s really honest. Just what’s really going on, have an honest conversation without it being just me being in the fishbowl.”
