Star Jones is set to battle it out with Barbara Walters on ABC’s The View after her abrupt exit in 2006.
Star Jones launched the popular gab fest with Barbara in 1997 along with three other co-hosts but ended her tenure on a sour note. Will there be an elephant in the room come February? Not so insist Barbara who announced the news yesterday on the show. Instead of feeding into what many believe will be a tense interaction, Walters opted to recall her bonding moments with Jones.
“Star and I have been heart-to-heart now for many years,” she said. “We’ve had lunches together and discussions together. We had open heart surgery within months of each other [in 2010]. So we are very happy to have her on, and it will be a nice day for all of us to see her.”
To fluff up the experience even more, Jones’ guest experience is geared towards shedding light on women with heart disease via the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign.
None the less, many will likely tune in on Wednesday, Feb. 22 in hopes a jab or two is thrown.
Will you watch Star Jones on The View next month?
