UPDATE-Anne Hathaway is engaged to jewelry designer Adam Shulman while Angelina Jolie opens up about her family life with Brad Pitt, her career and activism.
More information is available on The Dark Knight Rises actress Anne Hathaway’s boyfriend of three years and new fiance Adam Shulman. Shulman is an actor turned jewelry designer. It’s reported that Adam’s acting credentials were so poor that many thought Anne had walked into another relationship of abuse. After a shocking break up in 2008 from Raffaello Follieri who’s currently serving 4 1/2 years in jail for wire fraud, money laundering and conspiracy in a scheme involving $50 million; Anne moved into the arms of Adam. For that reason alone many thought the romance would be short lived. But Adam co-launched a jewelry company, had his pieces featured in LUCKY magazine and he designed Anne’ engagement ring.
“We hit it off immediately, but it took us a pretty long time to get together.” Anne continued to People, “things sped up a bit — and I think I’ll leave it at that.” Hathaway also added during another interview to USA Today, “I’d like to have kids in 10 years,” she said. “I don’t know about five, but 10.” Now let’s hope Adam is ready for that responsibility!
Congrats to Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman!
Angelina Jolie Reveals Her Soft Spot On 60 Minutes
Angelina Jolie, former bad girl, but technically still a bad girl for Brad Pitt revealed her soft spot. On Sunday night Jolie sat with Bob Simon of 60 Minutes to talk her career, family, her activism and her surviving her darkest times.
On being a Funeral Director as an alternative career choice:
“It sounds like this very strange, eccentric, dark thing to do. But, in fact, I lost my grandfather and I was very upset with his funeral. And so, we discussed that maybe there are ways where this whole idea of how somebody passes and how a family deals with this passing and what death is should be addressed in a different way. If this acting thing didn’t work out, that was gonna be my backup.”
On still being a bad girl and living through her darkest times:
“I went through heavier, darker times and I survived them. I didn’t die young.” “People can imagine that I did the most dangerous, and I did the worst… for many reasons, I shouldn’t be here.” Angelina added with a smile, “I still have that side of me…it’s just in its place now. It belongs to Brad. Or… our adventures.”
On her mother Marcheline Bertrand being her soft spot:
“My mother was a full-time mother. She didn’t have much of her own career, her own life, her own experiences,” Jolie told Bob as her voice begins to shake. “Everything was for her children.” “I will never be as good a mother as she was. I will try my best, but I don’t think I ever will be.”
“She was the most generous, loving woman,” said Angelina while choking back tears. “She’s better than me.”
