Anthony Mackie officially signs up with “The Gangster Squad.” set in the 1940’s A special unit is organized to stop the corruption from taking over the city of Los Angeles.
Mackie plays Rocky Washington, an ex-cop and the first black lieutenant in the LAPD, who is ultimately recruited to work as part of the squad.
“The Gangster Squad” will hit theaters sometime in 2013.
