Tamar Braxton and K. Michelle got into a petty feud on Twitter that proved both ladies will always remain reality-show stars rather than R&B stars.
The beef started with an all-too-familiar situation. Braxton threw some serious shade via Twitter, but didn’t want to own up to it when she realized she wasn’t going to get away with it. Something she’s done before with another Love & Hip Hop Star – Joseline Hernandez.
“Damn! I lost my wig!!….” Tamar tweeted after she spotted K. Michelle rocking the same blonde-with-black-roots look.
She followed up with another tweet that read, “#Shadebutnoshade ;)”
Well, the “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” star caught the diss and didn’t hesitate to respond.
“You didn’t lose your wig, Kermit snatched it #Realtalkwith,” she tweeted.
A few minutes later she posted another tweet that read, “Rebel against muppets gone wild! No shade. Rebel against lip synching and buying ur own singles. No shade.”
Engaging in the Twitter beef was bad enough, but then K. Michelle revealed what her plans for the day were.
“I’m in a positive place but I ain’t no punk!! Don’t come for a G,” she tweeted. “Now let me go to the boys and girls club and talk to the kids.”
That’s right. Just a few moments after she proved to be a terrible role model for any young lady, she took off to the Boys & Girls Club to “uplift” the young women there.
“This is what matters most,” she tweeted along with a picture of her with all the girls she spoke to. “Trying to uplift!!! These girls made me smile.”
Quite frankly we’re not sure why the Boys & Girls Club even decided K. Michelle should come in to be a positive role model for the young ladies. Whoever planned the special appearance must never have actually watched “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta.”
Meanwhile, Toni Braxton’s sister insisted that her shade-throwing tweet wasn’t even directed at K. Michelle.
Her buddy Arsenio Hall tweeted Tamar to mock K. Michelle for trying to get some free publicity out of the feud.
“Hey @TamarBraxtonHer, will U engage in a twitter feud with me? I need the publicity. I attacked a LAX-pap, but nobody seem to notice. #sept9,” Hall tweeted.
Tamar responded with, “@ArsenioHall YEAH! the way it works is you pick a tweet & make it about you! BUT it might not work 4 u cause you are a REAL celebrity! xo.”
The cherry on top, however, is the way Braxton decided to label K. Michelle as the bully although she was the one who started throwing the shade.
“I really want 2 thank all of my #Tamartianfriends 4 being here 4 me ALWAYS! & 4sticking up 2 da bullies, liars&Haters! #Sept3is4u #preorder,” she tweeted after the Twitter drama finally died down.
Either way both of the women should feel embarrassed and ashamed about the unnecessary drama over a hairstyle that tons of other celebrities have been rocking for years.
For two ladies who can barely climb their way to the top of the Billboard charts, they are surprisingly in need of a huge slice of humble pie.
