President Donald Trump has made decorating the White House with his over-the-top, personal style a top priority of his presidency.
The 80-year-old MAGA boss transformed the iconic Oval Office into a gold-filled spectacle reminiscent of his golf courses and private residences.
However, one particular detail stands out among the gilded trinkets and picture frames.
Three gold frames sit on the right side of the table behind Trump’s Resolute Desk.
Viewers zoomed in on a particular image of a special tribute to his 48-year-old son, Donald Trump Jr.
Aside from the image of Don Jr. seemingly hiding under his dad’s desk, the message caught everyone’s attention.
The image has the words “FAVORITE CHILD” engraved at the top. “It’s True. Ask Anybody. Total Landslide” was engraved at the bottom.
The label could be viewed as a parental slight against his siblings: Ivanka Trump, 44, Eric Trump, 42, Tiffany Trump, 32, and Barron Trump, 20.
Back in January, a New York Times reporter mentioned the photo of Don Jr. crouching under the Resolute Desk.
The image echoed a famous 1963 photo of John F. Kennedy Jr. doing the same as a toddler.
Fast-forward seven months, and a close associate of the Trump family decided to upload the tongue-in-cheek photo to social media.
Conservative social media influencer Bo Loudon, who has been called the best friend of Barron’s best friend, posted a snapshot of the Resolute Desk on Aug. 10.
Photographer Aaron Schwartz snapped the image during an executive order signing event on Aug. 6.
Don Jr’s picture sits next to a picture of his father and first lady Melania Trump at the 2025 inauguration.
Loudon, 19, called Trump’s pic the “most legendary framed photo ever in the Oval Office.” He also suggested JFK Jr. and Don Jr. were akin by adding a handshake emoji to the caption.
Other X users agreed with Loudon’s take on the photograph’s joking nature. One Trump fan replied, “That is hilarious, absolutely brilliant.”
“If it hadn’t had the “gettyimages” trademark I would have thought all of this was a fake AI picture. Nice job, Trump, Jr. Very funny!” exclaimed another amused commenter. An additional tweet simply read, “LMAO!”
However, a Trump critic spoiled the MAGA faithful’s celebratory mood by posting, “They are so desperate to be like JFK. They never will be.”
Trump’s relationship with his children has been a topic of intrigue throughout the New York City native’s career in business, reality television, and politics.
Observers wonder if a ‘Succession’-like battle over daddy’s attention and money is a dark cloud hovering over the generation of Trumps who have reached adulthood.
Going by his recent comments, the president does have a certain amount of affection for Don Jr. and Eric, to the point where an off-the-cuff remark left viewers stunned.
Trump’s awkward joke about giving his sons the Congressional Medal of Honor at North Dakota’s Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library dedication ceremony in July was met with gasps.
“Now, as I see my two beautiful sons sitting there. I think I’m going to give one to myself, one to them, and we’ll have a threesome,” Trump said while standing behind the presidential seal.
When it comes to Barron, the real estate developer-turned-politician loves to gush over the current New York University student’s athletic abilities and his towering 6-foot-8 height.
“Baron loves soccer. He’s a good soccer player. He may… I don’t know. His speed might… little… He’s very tall. I don’t know,” Trump mumbled at a FIFA event in July ahead of the 2026 World Cup’s final.
