Tracee Ellis Ross does not play when it comes to being a fashion icon. The 49-year-old’s chic style constantly receives compliments from fans, celebrities, and high fashion designers.
Her recent Instagram post of herself posing in a doorway wearing an all-black Proenza Schouler-brand pantsuit with her hair in a large pouf was next in line to receive an abundance of praise.
The actress uploaded her in the outfit as she strutted six different positions so her 11.1 million Instagram followers could perfectly view her ensemble, styled by Karla Welch.
“A pouf and a peplum” Ross captioned her photo.
Not long after her upload, Ross’ comment section filled with compliments about her hair, outfit, and overall presence.
“How the heck do you look good in every hair do and every outfit? Like you’re so beautiful it makes me sick, but I love you!”

Adoration is usually sent Ross’ way any time she decides to show fans an iconic outfit of hers. Before her recent Instagram post, Ross uploaded two photos of herself wearing a yellow pantsuit as she rocked her natural curls while taking photos for her hair care company, Pattern Beauty. The photo received over 125,000 likes with over 1,000 comments endlessly complimenting her look.
In 2020, Ross was named a People’s Choice Awards fashion icon, and she’s discussed how much that title meant to her as well as where her love for fashion stemmed from.
She told E! News reporter Giuliana Rancic, “It started very young. I come by it honestly, my mom is Diana Ross. She’s a fashion icon that I actually follow and my father has impeccable taste.”
Ross continued to equate fashion as an “armor” in which it allowed her to be seen the way she “wanted to be seen.”
Ross may be an actress, but her beloved style has also won her the title of a fashion icon.
