Former “Love & Hip-Hop” star Erica Dixon opened up about having a child with autism recently. Dixon shared a picture of her herself with her three children on Instagram along with a caption supporting Autism Awareness month
Dixon captioned the post, “April is Autism Awareness month so we lit this photoshoot up blue for baby girl!!! I’m so grateful for the people who have not only helped but been impactful in my girls lives,” she wrote. “This journey too will be rewarding! #forevertheirprotector #autismawareness #autism #autismawarenessmonth #autismacceptance.”
When one Instagram user replied in the comment section that they didn’t know Dixon’s twins were autistic, Dixon clarified that only one of her twins has autism. She also noted her admiration for mothers with autistic or disabled children.
“Awww I didn’t know your girls are Autistic. My son is also. Give them big hugs for me. It’s a journey but they’re such amazing, intelligent kids,” wrote one fan.
“@_prettyassnikka only one is and yes, it’s a journey,” Dixon replied. “I not respect but admire moms with autistic children or any disability. They the real MVP’s!”
“You’re amazing Erica keep pushing u know u got this and God has u always,” wrote one Instagram user. “Stay covered sis,” added another. “Such a beautiful family,” noted another fan. “Beautiful God Bless you and your beautiful family.”
Several other Instagram users also replied to the adorable post with blue heart emojis to honor Autism Awareness month, and Dixon and her girls are also sporting the color blue in the photographs shared on Instagram.
