‘Is This the Same Person That Was Telling Women to Cover Up a Few Years Ago?’: Ayesha Curry Claps Back at Fan Who Called Her a Hypocrite for Nude Magazine Image

Ayesha Curry has had enough of fans calling her out anytime she wants to get a little sexy, so when a follower tried to throw an old tweet of hers back in her face in response to her latest saucy snap, Mrs. Curry decided she had time.

The 31-year-old lifestyle entrepreneur stripped down for one of the feature images that will be included in The Refresh Issue of her “Sweet July” magazine. In the photo, which Steph Curry selected, Ayesha appears nude but tastefully covered, with only her “shins and shoulders” visible, but that was too much for some of her followers.

“📷 from our @sweetjuly BODY feature. So many natural wellness and skin remedies in this issue!,” reads her caption. “@stephencurry30 got to pick the photo😏. Shins and shoulders y’all, shins and shoulders. 🤷🏽‍♀️”

Fans were quick to bring up “The Seasoned Life” author’s previous public comments on women keeping their goodies in the jar. One fan in particular found the exact tweet Curry sent in 2015, and quoted it back to her with timestamps and all. “Everyone’s into barely wearing clothes these days huh? Not my style. I like to keep the good stuff covered up for the one who matters 😂😂😂” dec 5,2015 ~Ayesha Curry~ via Twitter.”

Curry snapped back, clarifying her earlier comments. “@fresh2theend when you realize I was talking about a person wearing nipple pasties leaving a Starbucks and thought it was hilarious 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️😂… but no one cared to ask.”

Overall, the image received largely mixed reactions — some applauded her body positivity, while others were still stuck on what they feel is hypocrisy.

“You win sis. Go OFFFFFF”

“her GOOD STUFF IS COVERED…….. y’all always have something negative to say about this beautiful lady….. @ayeshacurry KEEP LIVING BEAUTIFUL”

“What happened to being modest and keeping goods only for your husband?!”

“My word, can we let women live? What happened to, “judge not, lest ye be judged”…? (Or however it goes). Your judgement only reveals your unhappiness.”

“What happened to your Christian faith and beliefs? You are beautiful without having to go this route. Plz let this be the first & last of these photos. ❤🙏”

One person who made it clear he’s A-OK with the images is Steph Curry himself. The NBA baller shared his wife’s photos on his social media pages as well, captioning the photos, “Here goes my Baby!!!!! My Valentine. She did that 😍🤯@sweetjuly magazine out now.”

Ayesha Curry launched her “Sweet July” magazine in April 2020. It is named for the many life milestones she associates with the month, including her wedding anniversary and all of her children’s birthdays.
