Lauren London took to Twitter on Feb. 10 to directly respond to the recent pregnancy rumors generated by a now-retracted Los Angeles Sentinel article published earlier this week. These claims came nearly two years after the death of London’s longtime love, rapper Nipsey Hussle.
The 36-year-old wrote while denying the “lies,” “Woke up to some straight bulls–t. Rumors! Lies! On a woman trying her best to heal?! Please stop. I’m NOT pregnant.” The actress also reiterated that statement by sharing the tweet on her Instagram story, immediately followed by a post saying, “Now back to my sacred healing circle #LLNH” (an abbreviation for Long Live Nipsey Hussle).
Pregnancy rumors started circulating on Feb. 9 after the Sentinel cited an unnamed source who claimed the “ATL” actress was expecting and planned on celebrating with a baby shower scheduled for this week.
Although London’s team didn’t initially comment on the alleged claims, Nipsey Hussle’s former bodyguard J-Roc shut down the rumors on his Instagram story. He said while also promoting Hussle’s newly released single with Jay-Z called “What It Feels Like,” “Fake News!!! You people is miserable but since we got y’all attention What It Feels Like Hussle x Hov 2/12/21 #TMC.”
The model has two sons, 11-year-old Cameron Carter, shared with rapper Lil Wayne, and Kross Asghedom,4, with Hussle.
Hussle was shot and killed at age 33 in March 2019 in Los Angeles. Following the one-year anniversary of his death, London penned a lengthy post honoring the “Victory Lap” rapper.
“Time is deceptive. It’s been a year since you transitioned. The pain is as heavy today as it was a year ago. God knows I would give anything to see you again. I didn’t think I was going to survive a second of any of this. Prayers have kept me together. The kids keep me going and God’s Grace and Mercy have carried me this far. As today makes a year, I stand strong because of you.”
She added, “Because I know you wouldn’t have it any other way. Because I recall every late-night conversation we had about resilience and fear. Because you were my greatest teacher and because you are still with us, in spirit. With every breath I take I honor you. I carry this pain with purpose. I promise I will make you proud. I promise to apply everything you taught me. In life and in death. Ermias Asghedom. There will never be another. Until we are together again. I love you beyond human understanding – but you know that already.”
