Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns endured a painful and tragic 2020, but through it all he says family and his girlfriend Jordyn Woods helped him press forward.
While answering a fan question on how he stays strong on IG, Towns revealed that he was struck by a drunk driver during the off-season, and, as a result, had to be hospitalized. By his side through the ordeal of recovering was Woods.
He further revealed that the 23-year-old has supported him through the deaths of his mother and six other family members to COVID-19, and his own battle with the virus.
“My woman has held me down more than the world knows. From my mother and family members dying (1 on her bday in Cabo), getting hit by a drunk driver (was 2pm in the afternoon FYI) in LA this off-season and staying with me in the hospital for the night and helping me in rehab, to this stint with COVID she has been there with me every step of the way and stayed ten toes down,” Towns wrote.
But that is not where his acknowlegment of Woods’ unwavering support ended.
Towns continued by writing, “My love for her knows no bounds and I would be remiss if I don’t acknowledge the power a good woman can have in your life. Men, treat your woman like a Queen so she can treat you like a King.”
Since making their relationship IG official in September of last year, the young couple has staved off the media creating a frenzy regarding their every move. Photos posted to Woods’ social show the duo all smiles and enjoying each other’s company.
“You two are totally soulmates💕❤️🌻💞💋😍💜”
“A match made in heaven! 💕”
“I love how happy he makes you ! It radiates ✨”
Last December, Woods gave fans a peek into their lives with her vlog which showed them taking a road trip to Florida as well as New Jersey to see Towns’ family.
