Jordyn Woods has a message for haters trying to downplay her resume.
The former “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” reality star recently made a cameo in the new music video for rappers G-Eazy and Mulatto for their song “Down,” and she apparently faced some “haterism” from naysayers. Folks claimed Woods just began starring in music videos earlier this year.
However, the 22-year-old model demanded people put some respect on her name and suggested she has a long resume of music videos. She re-posted Will Smith‘s 2002 music video “Nod Ya Head,” which she starred in in her very young years.
She took to Instagram on Saturday, Sept 5., with a strong message to critics and wrote, “Oh cause I thought someone said I just started making cameos in music videos!? 😂 18 years ago 😱.”
Her revelation shocked IG followers who had no idea about her cameo appearance.
“Screaming cause I never knew that was you !!! 💕”
“a calm flex! 😂”
“she said she not new to this she’s true to this🥺😭”
“No fricking way! Tru 2 this, nt new”
“Omg I remember this video like yesterday. Wow didn’t know you were in it 🔥”
Woods is actually really close to the Smith family and refers to Will Smith as her “uncle.”
Her late father, John Woods, worked in the television business as a sound engineer and reportedly met the star of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” through work. John Woods passed away in January 2017 from cancer.
In 2014, Jordyn Woods shared a throwback photo of her as a child with Smith in celebration of his birthday.
“Happy birthday to a man who has greatly impacted my life,” she wrote. “Love you uncle willy.”
Woods continues to mourn her late father. She penned a heartfelt post to him on Father’s Day 2020. Sharing a childhood photo of her and her dad, she wrote on June 21, “Going on Instagram today has been a tough one. For those of you who still have a father present or living, I hope you spent the day to love and cherish them. I learned to appreciate the memories. Even though I was robbed of plenty of time, I still feel his presence within me through every step. Every day is Father’s Day because without you there is no me.”
