It seems like Apryl Jones and Omarion Grandberry are back on good terms with each other.
Jones, 33, took the Internet by surprise after she shared a picture of the “Touch” singer to social media this week. She took to her 24-hour Instagram Story on Wednesday, June 3 and uploaded a photo of Grandberry and their 5-year-old son Megaa sporting similar hairdos.
“My baby got his hair cut looking like his daddy,” Jones wrote across the image before deleting it 12 hours later.
The former couple reunited to give their son Megaa his first haircut. Grandberry shared a video of himself cutting the 5-year-old’s hair at his home, and Jones could be seen in the background. Fans were shocked to see the pair on speaking terms following their recent relationship complications.
“Oh shxt that’s Apryl 😳😳😳 they might be ready to be a happy family again ✨,” one fan said. Another added, “Wow Apryl and Omarion in the same room??! That’s dope! I’m glad they are on gud terms.” A third person wrote, “👏🏾 idk if you see it @omariondaily, but I see the big picture. This was awesome progress. I’m so happy for this family🙌🏾❤️”
Jones and Grandberry split in 2016, a few months after she gave birth to their second child, daughter A’mei Kazuko Grandberry.
Last month, Jones spoke with Voyage LA for a Mother’s Day issue and discussed her fallout with Grandberry. “I was in a really terrible space [in] 2016, where I had just had my second child, and my son was only 1 at the time, and I was going through a terrible breakup with their father,” said the mother of two. “He decided to leave without explanation, and I was forced to have to pick up the pieces of my life.”
Years later, Jones began dating Grandberry’s B2K band mate and friend Lil Fizz after her breakup with the “Post to Be” artist. The pair made their relationship official in 2019 but called it quits earlier this year. Jones received backlash from the media for dating Fizz, seeing as she knew how close he and Grandberry were.
The “Icebox” musician wasn’t the least bit bothered by Jones and Fizz’s relationship at the time. When he was asked about it during an interview with Vlad TV in November, he responded, “I don’t feel no ways, I don’t feel any way about it. I think that if they’re happy, then they should be happy.”
