Actor Taye Diggs sparked some laughter after he posted a message about the gym he attends.
In the post, Diggs said that he’s disgusted by gym towels being left all over the place, and he wishes people would pick up after themselves.
“Hello my name is Taye Diggs, and I am in fact a Black actor,” he began his message, using an accent that seemed to be half English, half West Indian. “I have been blessed enough to be able to afford to work out at a luxury gymnasium, but alas there is a problem.”
“I don’t mean to make this about race. I do believe we should all get along,” continued Diggs. “But there are white people, certain white people in my locker room, that refuse to pick up their soiled towels.
“They leave them strewn about willy nilly, on the counters, on the floors and on the benches, dare I say the steam room where I enjoy frequenting,” he added.
Diggs then asked how the gym offenders were raised and told them not to expect others to dispose of their used items.
“So I ask you white people, were you raised in a barn?” he asked. “Did you not have mothers and fathers that taught you to pick up after yourselves? Or are you in fact just lazy, spoiled, forgetful honkeys? Excuse my language.
“Pick up your towels. I don’t work for you, and the people that work for the gymnasium have enough to do,” added Diggs. “Pick up your d—n towels whities! Pick ’em up.”
A lot of people told Diggs that they found his message hilarious and often experience the same thing that he does.
“This Truly has me in stitches. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂,” wrote one of his followers.
“@tayediggsinsta 🤣🤣🤣 @ the accent ! I totally agree. I have seen them too 🤦🏾♀️😱,” another person chimed in.
“This is HILARIOUS. I don’t care what race you are…this is FUNNY 🤣🤣🤣,” wrote someone else.
There was also one person who told Diggs to expect some retaliation for his post.
“My guess is you’re going to see a heap more soiled towels after they get wind of this,” someone predicted.
