‘South Side On the Map’: 50 Cent Celebrates Getting His Own Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

50 Cent expressed pride on Thursday because he just received his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in California.

The star is located on the corner of Hollywood and Vine, and it’s also where Thursday’s unveiling took place.

50 acknowledged the accomplishment on Instagram and also gave a shoutout to his South Side Queens, New York, neighborhood.

“๐Ÿ‘€South Side on the map, wait till they see how I run with this๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ’จHahaha ๐Ÿ˜†they never seen nothing like me before,” he wrote on Thursday.

Plus, in a statement, Ana Martinez, a producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, spoke about the many hats that 50 wears and how accomplished he is.

โ€œCurtis โ€˜50 Centโ€™ Jackson is a man of many talents and star power,โ€ she said in a statement. โ€œHe has pursued many types of entertainment genres and done so with huge success. We are proud to add this talented and revered performer to our Walk of Fame family.”

Before 50 became an international rap star, he made a colossal-size buzz for himself โ€” especially in New York’s tri-state area โ€” with his then-ubiquitous mixtapes.

He then inked a deal with Eminem‘s Shady Records and Dr. Dre‘s Aftermath, which are both subsidiaries of Interscope Geffen A&M Records.

From there, 50 released his debut album “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” in 2003 to critical acclaim and massive commercial success.

He then followed that up with the albums “The Massacre” in 2005, “Curtis” in 2007, “Before I Self Destruct” in 2009 and “Animal Ambition” in 2014.

The 44-year-old also made huge waves in television, and his show “Power,” which he executive produces, has struck ratings gold since it debuted in 2014. It’s now in its sixth and final season, with spinoffs on the way.

One of 50’s latest TV projects is the ABC series “For Life,” about a man who received a life sentence for a crime he didn’t commit and becomes his own defense attorney.

After the G-Unit rapper shared his post about getting the Hollywood star, people filled his comments with kind words and congratulations.

“Truly inspiration,” one person wrote. “The definition of a hustler, animal ambition, worldwide known, the best ever, thank you and congrats boo boo ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿค™๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿปโค๏ธ๐ŸŽ‰.”
