“Love and Hip Hop” couple Erica Mena and Safaree Samuels left social media with a ton of questions about whether they’ve officially tied the knot.
Well, the answer seems to be no, but a lot of fans believe the couple did indeed get married, and they sent them a wave of congratulatory messages this week. The 31-year-old model took to her Instagram page on Thursday and posted a video of her and Samuels getting ready for their 2019 MTV Video Music Awards red carpet appearance.
Social media users initially clowned Mena and Samuels’ red carpet attire, claiming the couple looked as if they were heading to a “high school prom.” Now it seems their “bride and groom” ensembles were planned for the “VMA’s first EVER red carpet wedding.”
“MTV VMA’s first ever red carpet wedding BTS ♥️ If you think this was extra wait until you see US on our big,” the mother of one wrote. “On the road to being Mrs. Samuels has officially begun. Thank you God for my fiancé 🙏🏽♥️”
The “No Regular Girl” rapper added on his social media, “Behind the scenes of the VMA shutdown.”

As of Sept. 6, Mena posted a photo of the “countdown” to her and Samuels’ wedding with a bride and groom emoji to her Instagram story.
The pair first announced they were dating around November 2018, a month after Mena broke up with her ex Cliff Dixon, who was shot and killed in suburban Atlanta in March. They got engaged on Christmas Eve after Samuels proposed to her. They set the date for the wedding but have yet to announce it on social media.
The couple split for a few days in June after Samuels was accused of cheating on his fiancée with his ex-girlfriend Gabrielle Davis. Days later, they announced on social media that they had reconciled.
