Sean “Diddy” Combs seems to be regretful over the fact that he never married Kim Porter.
On Sunday, March 3, Diddy posted a photo of himself and Porter, who passed away from pneumonia on Nov. 15, 2018 and in the caption wrote “SMH.” He also included a broken heart emoji.
Someone then told the Bad Boy founder that it’s too late for him to be regretful because he should’ve married his ex when she was still alive.
Porter and Diddy have three children together, twin 12-year-old daughters Jessie James and D’Lila, and 20-year-old Christian. They were an on-and-off couple from 1994 to 2007. Diddy also helped raise Quincy, the son Porter has with R&B singer Al B. Sure.
“When she was alive you didn’t wanna marry her,” someone wrote under Diddy’s post. “Confused negro. GTFOH.”
Diddy chose not to argue with that follower. In fact, he agreed with him and admitted the mistake was all his. “I know. Played myself,” he wrote. “SMH.”
The 49-year-old also responded to someone who suggested he put money and success over true love.
“You can have all the materialistic things in the world but nothing amounts to the deep connection love and affection of a good woman or a family,” someone commented.
Diddy then responded to that person and wrote the word “Facts.”
A lot of other people left comments under his post as well, and many told him that he can remove some of the regret for
not marrying Kim by raising their children properly.
“Be the Best Dad and honor her memories God Bless 🙏 @diddy,” one person wrote.
“I know losing someone you loved deeply hurts and for whatever reason that part is sometimes not easily shown,” wrote another. “The best part is that she taught you love and you’ll be able to teach your children that love. You’ll see her in them as they grow, as they learn and experience so many things.”
Days before Porter’s death, she had been complaining of having flu-like symptoms. She saw a doctor and was given the anti-inflammatory drug Toradol as well as saline fluids and vitamins. The model went to bed early the night before she died after stating she felt ill.
