‘Black Ink Crew: Chicago’ Fans Stunned After Van Johnson Apologizes to Ryan Henry: ‘Real S–t!’

Black Ink Crew: Chicago” viewers witnessed an extremely emotional moment between Van Johnson and Ryan Henry during the Jan. 9 episode.

Johnson and Henry were best friends at one time but later turned into each other’s worst enemy. The duo began beefing during season 3 after Johnson accused Henry of letting fame from the reality television show go to his head.

The ex-besties remained at odds for the entire season 4 of “Black Ink Chicago,” but made up at some point when the show was on hiatus.

“I DO NOT HAVE BAD BLOOD WITH RYAN HIS FAMILY OR FRIENDS,” Johnson wrote in May 2018. “I ONLY WANT THE BEST FOR LOYAL INK AND 9MAG.”

Fast-forward to season 5, episode 1, where Henry and Johnson almost threw hands at Lily Barrios’ 25th birthday party. Johnson was upset that Henry left him out when he apologized to everyone in their crew for leaving them without a job when he started his new 9 MAG tattoo shop.

Johnson, who was still heated about his confrontation at the party with Henry, took matters into his own hands by working back at Henry’s tattoo shop without his approval.

“It’s time I start hitting back,” Johnson said in his confessional.

Henry walked into 9 MAG to see Johnson sitting on the shop’s couch and was heated. However, Johnson shocked fans by approaching Henry in an apologetic manner.

“I hate that its gotten to this point with me and you,” Johnson vocalized to Henry. “I have to say whatever I said about you, but I said it and [I] apologize to you. I love you. … I appreciate you hearing me out. … I forgive you and hopefully you forgive me.”

Henry and Johnson came face to face again in the episode, when Henry also apologized to Johnson for his role in their feud. The two friends who feuded for years rekindled their friendship, and Henry allowed Johnson to work back at 9 MAG.

Fans commended Johnson for issuing Henry an apology for his past actions.
