Tiny Harris’ daughter Zonnique Pullins reveals more about her painful recovery from her reversal eye implant surgery.
On the Nov. 19 episode of “T.I. & Tiny: Family & Friends Hustle“, Pullins was on bed rest with her mom at her side after getting the other implant removed from her eye. At one point Pullins only took out the implant that was causing too much eye pressure but she was hesitant to remove the other.
In the show’s confessional, she stated about the recovery, “My doctor told me not to pick up nothing heavy. It’s been a week since I took out my eye implants out so that I wouldn’t have any permanent damage.”
Pullins followed in her mother’s footsteps after the Xscape singer traveled to Africa in 2014 for the controversial surgery. Tiny told ABC News at the time that the surgery was quick and relatively painless. “They go into the eye and they make a little slit. They take an implant and it’s folded up. They open it [and] spread it over your eye.
“They told me that the procedure was going to be quick, five to 10 minutes an eye,” she said. “They woke me up. It was very blurry, then it kind of fades in.”
Pullins, who traveled abroad in 2015 for her surgery, didn’t have as much luck as Tiny who’s made no mention of removing her implants. The oldest Harris daughter has suffered numerous setbacks with the surgery, “When I first found out how serious the situation was, I was sooo emotional. And it’s really not something I want to go through again.”
Back in October, Pullins even told a fan that was interested in the eye implants that it wasn’t a good decision she made and wouldn’t suggest it to others.
Under a photo the reality star shared on Instagram, a fan asked, “Is the eye color change worth it?? Thinking of going Kenya and getting it. I have done my research but it will help if u can tell me your experience…”
Pullins responded honestly and said, “Well I didn’t go to Kenya so I can’t cant say if its safe there or not, but I’ve never liked to recommend people to do it. I can say that my experience wasn’t the best in long term but everyone is different..my moms are fine.”
