Shamari DeVoe is slated to join “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” in its upcoming season and she’s looking a lot like current ‘wife Cynthia Bailey in a new photo.
“#ShamariDeVoe and hubby #RonnieDeVoe are relationship goals AF! 👏🏾😍🔥 #RHOA,” a fan account for the long-running, hit Bravo series captioned a photo of DeVoe and her New Edition star spouse.
Fans who saw the image immediately began confusing Shamari’s looks with those of Bailey, saying the Blaque member bears a striking resemblance to the model.
“I thought this was Cynthia for a second.”
“She looks like Cynthia little sister.”
“Swore that was Cynthia.”
“I thought that was Cynthia a quick second.”
“She looks like a she could be Cynthia’s first cousin here lol.”
“Thought it was Cynthia at 1st glance. Must be getting old👓”
“I thought this was Cynthia Bailey.”

“I thought this was Cynthia & Papoose ”
Shamari’s involvement on RHOA was initially reported back in July when she was spotted performing at ATL Live On The Park in front of Bravo cameras. Other housewives were also in attendance including NeNe Leakes, Bailey, Kandi Burruss, Porsha Williams and then-friend of the show Eva Marcille.
Her involvement in the show was confirmed when a banner featuring the cast for the show’s upcoming 11th season showed up on the Bravo TV website.
“It’s OFFICIAL! Here’s your cast for season 11. Are y’all here for it? Eva, Tanya and Shamari join Nene, Kandi, Cynthia and Porsha for an interesting season! IT WILL BE EPIC! 👀 #RHOA,” a caption sharing the cast pic on an RHOA fan Instagram account read.
However, talk show host Wendy Williams is not a fan of Shamari joining but she’s eager to see what drama the singer’s husband, Ronnie DeVoe will stir up.
“The background noise about ‘Atlanta’ is that he’s really the scene-stealer out of all the girls,” Williams said on the Sept. 17 edition of her talk show. “They’re saying he’s all up in women’s business. They’re saying he definitely knows how to give it to you with the neck going and everything. So he’s very involved.
“I don’t know Shamari but I’ll take her if only I can get some Ronnie DeVoe,” she added.
