NeNe Leakes Claps Back at Fan Who Questions Her Pricey Boutique Items

In between looking after her husband Gregg Leakes following his surgery, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star NeNe Leakes has been promoting apparel from her Swagg Boutique store in the city.

“Keeping you ladies Bad & Bougie is one of the things I love to do! Follow @swaggboutiqueatl swaggboutiqueonline,” Leakes captioned a Monday, Sept. 24 post about the shaggy violet top she sported.

Many fans fawned over the high-priced look.

“Beautiful Coat.”

“Love the jacket!💜💜😎”

“Ahhhhhhh that coat @neneleakes GORGEOUS 😍😍😍”

“@neneleakes yesss I love shopping hurry on up with it ..I NEED SOME PIECES.”

But others questioned Leakes for selling such expensive apparel, as the coveted item, which is listed as a purplish shaggy sweater on the Swagg Boutique website, sells for $155.

“When are you going to come out with clothes is a little bit more affordable not as pricey there’s people here on a budget😜👍🏽🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️.”

“This same sweater is online for 49.00. She want tripled the price 🤦🏻‍♀️ @virgo83.”

“I thought Bougie people had trust funds…”

It was that last shady comment that prompted a response from NeNe.

“@presidentialplain.jane they also shop.”

The shaggy sweater is one of over a dozen posts NeNe has made about new clothes available at her shop. Back on Thursday, Sept. 20 the RHOA star said she was, “Trying on NEW inventory in Swagg @swaggboutiqueatl Come an get it Bad & Boogie ladies swaggboutiqueonline.”

It appears NeNe has been balancing plugging her business on Instagram as she continues to stick by Gregg’s side as he recovers from an hours-long procedure he had on Sept. 17. In one of NeNe’s last updates on her husband, she said he was “in a lot of pain” and noted that he was consuming only liquids for the week.

“He is OK. But he’s not, like, the best,” she said. “Today is a hard day … Not a lot I can do. It’s not a lot the nurses can do other than give the pain medicine and he’s just gotta get through it.”
