Tami Roman Hits Back at Haters for Deeming Her ‘Crackhead’ After New Look

Tami Roman has looked a bit different lately — and it’s not just because of her new cropped ‘do. The “Basketball Wives” star on Thursday, clapped back at naysayers who claimed she looked unhealthy after shedding a few extra pounds.

“I didn’t lose weight, I lost my willingness to die. DIABETES IS NO JOKE!” The “Bonnet Chronicles” creator said June 14. “I detox, suppress my appetite and make better food choices. So enjoy yourself laughing, leaving negative comments & calling me a ‘crackhead’…but I have two beautiful daughters and I’m gon’ live for them by ANY means necessary. 💯”

In the last week, Roman had been showing off not only a new shorter hairstyle but a noticeably slimmer frame, which prompted haters to crawl out of the woodwork.

“Tami Roman face gettin’ too skinny for me.”

“Tami Roman must be got something done to her face too😭her face so damn skinny now.”

However, many fans applauded her classy clapback and encouraged her to keep her head up.

“But you’re the bomb they’re just mad because they are shaped like Teletubbies and they’re momma’s shaped like Big Bird.”

“F— them haters @tamiroman you look great. We all need to have the willingness to live too.”

Still, this isn’t the first time Roman has dealt with critics dissing her weight. In 2014, she told the Jasmine Brand she began gaining weight with no explanation.

“A year later I was diagnosed with diabetes type 2 and literally I just start losing weight. You can either go this way or that way. Once I found out, I still didn’t really honor the fact that I had it. Even with NV [dietary supplement caplets], I only got to a size 10 or 12. I continued to eat and not really care.

“It wasn’t until I started working on ‘Extant’ and I was talking to Halle [Berry], who is also diabetic, and she said ‘Tami, the truth of the matter is — you either wanna live or you wanna die. You can continue thinking what you think and doing what you’re doing, but you’re not going to be here long.’ And that like really hit home for me. So I changed up my whole diet and eating and trying to be healthy and live right, and now people say I’m too skinny [laughs]. Now, I’m a bobblehead.”
