While celebrities and everyday people alike are riled up over H&M’s hoodie controversy, at least one person is unbothered. The apparent mother of the boy at the center of the storm, Terry Mango, has said she sees no issue with the Black boy wearing a hoddie saying, “Coolest Monkey In the Jungle.”
“[I] am the mum and this is one of [the] hundreds of outfits my son has modeled,” the alleged mom wrote in a Facebook comment. “Stop crying wolf all the time.”
In another comment, she wrote, “that’s my son. [I have] been to all the photoshoots and this was not an exception.”
But while she has no problems with it, many others do. Nicki Minaj pulled her support from the company with which she had a holiday collection by deleting all Instagram posts that mention H&M, according to Yahoo. And rapper G-Eazy has also severed ties.

The public also has issues with Mango’s lack of concern.
It’s a shame the mother doesn’t see an issue with this, but that’s life.

We don’t care what she says. If this were sold its not only her son that will be wearing it.

Still, others felt if the mom was cool with it, then folks should move on.

Tbh we’re all making a big fuss of this H&M thing but first of all the kid’s mother was there AND watched him model in many other hoodies🤷🏾♂️. Secondly, most of y’all ‘speaking out’ are still gonna end up shopping there so what’s good? pic.twitter.com/5eqEux8jHv

This H&M thing overblown like crazy. Kid’s MOM had zero issue with it. If you associate monkey with a black kid YOU’RE the issue, I’ve called kids little monkeys no matter what their color. Oh and shocked celebs, please continue wearing that Bathing Ape tho with no issue smh
