Rihanna Debuts ‘Nude,’ Tran Keeps Low Profile

Rihanna debuted the ad campaign for “Nude” via Twitter on Friday, sharing pictures of herself scantily clad in peach colored lingerie and sporting a blond mane with her 26 million followers.

“Here is my new ad for a brand new fragrance #NUDE !!! Make sure you smell sexy, especially naked, this fall,” the songstress tweeted. This is Rihanna’s third signature fragrance. Earlier this year “Rebelle” was released and is expected to sell about 4 million bottles this year, according to sales reports from Parlux, the company that manufactures the fragrance. Her first fragrance, Reb’l’Fleur was released last year.

Release of the fragrance comes just one day after Chris Brown ended his relationship with Karrueche Tran saying that he didn’t want her to be hurt by his continued “friendship” with Rihanna. This past week, that friendship has included an alleged raunchy rendezvous in a New York nightclub, a night out at a Jay Z concert, and sightings of the two exiting the same hotel. Brown released a statement and YouTube video on Thursday talking about the breakup and being in love with both women.

According to Celebuzz.com, Hiep Tran, who claims to be one of Tran’s uncles, was not surprised that Brown, 23, broke up with his niece. “He’s famous, he hit another girl … I didn’t think it would last,” Tran said. “[Karrueche’s] strong and she moves on. She probably just realized it’s not a good idea to be around a famous person and so many problems.”

A somber Tran was reportedly last seen exiting a New York City hotel on her way to the airport.

Rihanna’s family also doesn’t seem to be surprised by Brown’s actions. Rihanna’s father expressed relief over Brown’s breakup. Ronald Fenty told “In Touch” magazine that he loves Brown and his daughter seems to be happiest when she is with him.

Brown is still on probation from his 2009 assault of the “Man Down” singer, an incident that left Rihanna’s face considerably bruised and ended their public romance. Brown recently appealed his probation but was denied because he tested positive for marijuana.
