Myths Dispelled: These 6 Civilizations Were Not As White as History Has Been Reporting

The idea that Europe was void of nonwhite people is a myth perpetrated by historians, various forms of media and systematic white supremacy. European societies such as the ancient Greeks and Romans had African people at the very top of their civilizations.

However, author and historian Martin Bernal posited in his book, “Black Athena,” that a wave of anti-Black and anti-Semitic influence on the Greek civilization was dismissed during the Enlightenment.
