As the news of Republican Donald Trump’s president-elect status sinks in around the globe, many members of the Black community made their thoughts known. Trump announced in his victory speech early this morning that Democrat Hillary Clinton conceded the election, congratulating him in a private phone call.

As a result, CNN commentator and TV host Marc Lamont Hill stated the outcome is all about white supremacy.

“Anything else is just a distraction,” he added.

Rapper Chuck D compared Trump to German Nazi Party leader Adolf Hitler.

Additionally, producer Shonda Rhimes thought up two ways to get away from a country whose next leader has made racist comments throughout his campaign.

Actor Orlando Jones attempted to inject some humor into the conversation. He referred to a long-running joke that he and singer Solange are the same person.

Then, Imani Gandy of Re-Wire News felt blown away by the fact that “the literal KKK” put voted Trump into the White House.

She also announced she would cancel her cable subscription to avoid politics for the next four years.

T.I. has been outspoken about supporting the Black community. He informed both Lil Wayne and Floyd Mayweather about the problem with alienating themselves from Black Lives Matter. The movement is meant to fight against injustice against Blacks.

Because of that, the rapper responded to Trump’s election by apologizing to current president and first lady Barack and Michelle Obama.

“Unfortunately, it seems like we’ve been brought back to a worse place than we were in before,” Tip said in part. “In your honor we’ll remain honorable, respectable & continue to strive for greatness.”

Killer Mike, also politically outspoken, shared his thoughts on the matter. The MC stated he aimed to “speak on behalf of my community.”

But he added a separate tweet saying the following.

Regardless of Mike’s hope, writer Mikki Kendall described the results a “the house that bigotry built.”

Questlove attempted to explain his thoughts on Instagram before admitting, “I got nothing.”

But singer-actress Janelle Monáe shared her disbelieve in the “amount of dummies this country has.”

Meanwhile, the hashtag #NotMyPresident became a top trending topic on Twitter Wednesday morning. Many used it to describe their fears about Trump’s impending presidency.

#TrustEnV stated she felt frightened about her family’s life.

Yet Omar Moore stated even 50-year-old white men are frightened.

Another hashtag, #AmeriKKKa, also began trending on Twitter.

Baili Nicole believed the election results had nothing to do with non-voters or citizens who elected third party candidates Jill Stein of the Green Party and the Libertarian Party’s Gary Johnson.
