Usher Places A Restraining Order On Stalker

Usher realized Darshelle Jone-Rakestraw was more than an overzealous fan after unwarranted visits to his home on consecutive nights. And when she tried to convince the arresting officers the second night that she was his wife who had misplaced her keys, Usher branded the 26-year-old a stalker and filed a temporary restraining order her in Fulton County, GA.

Jones-Rakestraw, listed as 5-foot-2 and between 140 and 180 pounds, is considered dangerous and delusional by Usher. According to court documents, Usher claims she showed up uninvited to his Atlanta home on June 23 with the intention of harassing him and his family. Sources close to Usher say she pounded on his front door and demanded to be let in.

Police officers arrived at the home, TMZ reports, warned Jones-Rakestraw to not return to the property. However, Usher said she returned the next day. And when police arrived, she tried to convince the officers that she was Usher’s wife and had simply misplaced her keys.

It did not work. She was arrested. Claiming Jones-Rakestraw “placed [him] in reasonable fear for his own safety and/or the safety of his immediate family,” Usher filed a temporary restraining order that he hopes to make permanent during a hearing next month.

Meanwhile, the alleged stalker  she posted a YouTube video, claiming Usher has been secretly funneling her money since last year, promising to make living arrangements for her. She also says he promised to help with her music career.

In the video, she said, “I’m not a stalker … [Usher] has officially slandered me and defamed my character.” She added plans to file defamation charges against Usher soon.
