Seal was spotted without his wedding band for the first time on Wednesday since him and estranged wife, Heidi Klum, officially announced their separation late January.
The “Kiss From A Rose” singer had gone on record that he still wore his wedding ring because he was still married to “this incredible woman” while embarking on a media blitz promoting his then newly-released album “Soul 2”. While the crooner further suggested that he couldn’t speak for his wife on the two possibly reneging on divorce, he had plenty to say about not removing his band.
“And you don’t all of a sudden one day to the next – unless you’re those type of people – just say ‘I hate you’ and take off your wedding ring. What this means to me and what it stands for, it stands for respect. It stands for loyalty, it stands for incredible memories and it stands for these four little miracles and Heidi making five that have come into my life over the past eight years.”
So, what gives less than a month later? It’s unclear.
The Grammy Award winner was seen yesterday walking through an Australian airport in all black with matching sunglasses and canary-yellow fingernail polish—but without his sparkler.
On the contrary, his supermodel wife, although mum on their situation, was seen out on Valentine’s Day entering Soho House, a swanky restaurant and bar, still rocking her wedding ring, according to TMZ.
So, are they or aren’t they? A source close to the German beauty insists that Heidi is moving forward with divorce.
