What happens when an egocentric man doesn’t win the honor he covets the most? For Donald Trump, there’s only one solution.
Trump, 80, has made it clear that he wants the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize on his mantel, and he won’t let up.
Unfortunately for the vain politician, the Nobel Committee has repeatedly snubbed him year after year.

After he returned to the White House in 2025, organizations and individuals worldwide lined up to present Trump with made-up accolades.
Some most have never heard of, and others are described as pity or participation trophies like the one he just received.

Trump campaigned in Sioux City, Iowa, for Republican congressional candidate Joe Mitchell on Thursday. Mitchell, 29, faces a tight race against Democratic state Rep. Lindsay James and hopes a presidential visit will push him over the line.
That trend continued at a midterm campaign on Oct. 22. To thank Trump for his endorsement, Mitchell presented the president with the “Man of the Century Award” at Sioux Gateway Airport.
“So, I wanted to say, Mr. President, for the last 10 years, you kept this country more safe than any other president, ever. Ever,” Mitchell proclaimed with the president standing behind him on stage.
He told Trump, “They’ve never given you the Nobel Peace Prize, by the way, which is a disgrace. So, what I came up with, Mr. President, is the new award.”
Audience members cheered and applauded when Mitchell presented Trump with a plaque. Surprisingly, the president appeared uninterested in the decorative plate.
Trump mouthed “thank you” off-mic and shook Mitchell’s hand dismissively. He then took the plaque and quickly handed it to a man standing offstage.
Online critics of the administration had more to say about the award than Trump did at the event. The reactions were brutal.
“Yes, the “Man of the Century” award given to Donald Trump is a completely informal, made-up award. It is not an established honor from any official, historical, or academic institution,” said one person.
Another said, “Bro just presented Trump with an award made up of a sheet of paper he printed at home and a $15 fake-gold frame from Hobby Lobby.
A third person called the display, “the most pathetic thing I’ve ever seen.”
Trump didn’t escape the heat either, as many called his apparent need for constant acknowledgment and praise childish and shameful.
“Lol!!! It looks like something you buy from Dollar Store,” a critic wrote in response to the clip. Another wrote, “Another participation trophy to stroke that ego of his.”
Trump has been obsessed with collecting trophies. His failure to earn a Nobel Peace Prize remains a sore issue for the self-centered billionaire.
Hours before Venezuela’s María Corina Machado won the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize, Trump slammed former President Barack Obama for receiving the award in 2009.
“He got a prize for doing nothing,” Trump stated about his presidential predecessor. Even the sanctity of the Oval Office did not stop the MAGA leader from throwing a tantrum.
The disgruntled POTUS also said, “Obama got a prize, he didn’t even know what he got. He got elected, and they gave it to Obama for doing absolutely nothing but destroying our country.”
To appease the American commander in chief’s vanity, Machado, 59, gave Trump her Nobel Peace Prize gold medal during a White House meeting in January.
However, the Norwegian Nobel Institute clarified that the formal title and status of Nobel Peace Prize laureate cannot be transferred.
Trump had to watch yet another individual win the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize. International Court of Justice judge Navanethem “Navi” Pillay even threw salt in the president’s wounds.
“Thank you very much,” Pillay, 85, said to onlookers after learning she was the newest Nobel recipient. She mockingly added, “If you clap a little bit more, I may share this prize with Trump.”
In addition to his newly secured “Man of the Century Award,” Trump has also been bestowed other freshly made honors like the FIFA Peace Prize and the America First Award.
