‘Hilarious’: Trump’s Own Chatbot Turns on Him and Confirms the One Thing He Can’t Stand to Hear, and the Internet Can’t Stop Laughing

Truth is stranger than fiction. That’s not an old cliché for nothing. President Donald Trump’s second term is proof of that.

Most Americans already know how Trump has falsely claimed over and over ad nauseam for years that the 2020 presidential election was “stolen” from him.

He has shouted it from the rooftops despite investigations, audits, and court rulings that have repeatedly found President Joe Biden won the election fair and square.

Now even a new website Trump launched on Tuesday embarrassingly and correctly states Trump indeed lost the 2020 election.

The new AI-powered America.gov is billed as a way to simplify and help Americans access information spread across government websites.

‘Actually Admitted It’: Trump Seemingly Confesses to the One Thing He Has Been Holding Onto, Handing the Internet a Brutal New Way to Roast Him

When asked, “Who won the 2020 election and who lost?” surprisingly, the AI agent gives a correct response.

“Joseph R. Biden Jr. won the 2020 U.S. presidential election. Donald J. Trump lost,” it says. It also lists the correct Electoral College totals, sourcing the National Archives.

“Biden: 306 electoral votes, Trump: 232 electoral votes, 270 needed to win.”

Then it adds, “The Federal Election Commission’s official results list Biden as receiving 81,268,924 popular votes (about 51.31%).”

Social media exploded in glee, laughing at the irony that he launched “a fact checker” against Republicans

Comments ranged from “I love this” to “LMAO I can’t wait for Trump to call his own AI fake news.”

X user The Chronic Vet observed, “Trump so damn stupid he literally launched a fact checker against his own party.”

Others agreed, “This is hilarious!”

Another joked, “Follow up asking it if Trump took actions to try to overturn the results of that 2020 election?”

The answer to that follow-up points users again to the fact that Biden won the election.

“I provide government services and official information, not political commentary,” the America.gov chatbot replied.

It added, “Official 2020 results are on the National Archives Electoral College page and in the FEC’s certified totals: Joseph R. Biden Jr. received 306 electoral votes; Donald J. Trump received 232.”

Even more embarrassing, Trump launched the website as former special counsel Jack Smith dropped the hammer on him during testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Smith testified he stands by his decision to prosecute Trump on grounds that he “engaged in serious crimes.” He also defended his team, saying they “developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt,” according to CNN.

“Our investigation developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in serious crimes against our nation,” Smith told senators.

“If asked whether to prosecute a former president today based on the same facts, I would do so regardless of whether that president was a Republican or a Democrat,” he continued.

“The charges against President Trump were the result of the evidence. Grand juries in two separate districts reached this conclusion based on his actions as alleged in the indictments they returned,” Smith stated.

“Rather than accept his defeat in the 2020 presidential election, President Trump engaged in a criminal scheme to overturn the results and prevent the lawful transfer of power,” the attorney declared.

Despite “proof” and “evidence,” Smith dropped the federal criminal charges against Trump after he won the 2024 presidential election. He did it to comply with a Department of Justice policy banning the prosecution of a sitting president.

Democracy needs journalism it can trust.

This election season, the stakes are higher than usual — and so is the pressure on newsrooms to soften their coverage, stay quiet, or just disappear. Independent reporting, the kind that answers to readers instead of advertisers or political pressure, matters more in a moment like this, not less.

For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed independent and reader-funded. We have no corporate owner and no shareholders telling us what to cover or how to cover it. That independence is also our biggest vulnerability: nothing protects it except readers choosing to fund it directly.

Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under in a moment like this, it's rarely the independent, reader-funded ones that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
